Sentinel is a long-only allocation system for the choices available inside a 401(k). Its layers answer different questions instead of asking one indicator to do everything.
Each equity sleeve uses a 100-session average and three-close confirmation. The gate decides eligibility; execution is next session.
Growth and inflation determine how much of an OFF sleeve remains in equity. An ON sleeve is never cut by macro.
V2.4 tracks relative leadership while gates are OFF, allowing a confirmed recovery to preload the winner instead of restarting blind.
AGG can receive defensive capital only in Deflation and above its 45-session trend after five confirming closes.

Sustained downtrends give the gates time to reduce exposure. Leadership memory is most useful when markets snap back or a new regional leader emerges during recovery.
WHERE IT CAN LAG
No daily model can sidestep an overnight gap. Confirmation can lag V-shaped turns, and diversification can trail a concentrated S&P 500 rally.
